Week 2 Animation Studio Part 2

This will be the second blog post of the week, and this time it is a discussion of the work done as a group overall through the whole week. It's unclear whether or not we will be presenting our project on Monday the 9th, but we will be prepared regardless.

Since we received the project, I think we've made a lot of positive progress. Originally, we really liked the idea, but we weren't convinced that the project really meshed together in a nice way. The different ideas in the project really didn't seem to be put together, so our main goal was to put it into a world that could fit all of the different ideas in a way that made sense.

In terms of the characters in the world, we were really confused about how they would actually look, since it wasn't really described in the initial draft last week. Luckily, Natasha drafted an image of a neuron person that we all really liked. This design would be the basis for the different characters the other group had drafted, like the Monks, Guardians, and miners.

This was something we all really liked.

For my part, I drafted together the artistic section of the brain, which was basically a warped building next to a cliff. The buildings were designed sort of like an arts centre, with strange architecture and warped buildings. Then, I figured that the art world needed a bit more style to it, so I thought up an idea where it was resting on a cliff, where all these shapes and ideas were off the cliff. these ideas would be the basis for the artistic ideas the brain comes up with.

I also included books and characters as the previous conversations had confirmed.

Along with these concepts, Caitlyn and Megan drafted up their worlds, and they're shown below.

After all of this, I decided to try and bring all these regions of the world together in one image, so we could present the concept better. As it was, we had religion, art, memory and thought centres of the brain all connecting at a capital, but we couldn't see the world coming together. this would be my final task this week.
