Semester 2 Week 10 - 3D Digital Literacy

up to the 28th april.

This week has been super busy. I've focused on the other project for now, but I did get some feedback on the animations that I already have.  Alec's feeback was pretty useful. He said that the little wave the character does in teh middle of the animation isn't clear enough, and that I should make the wave pivot from his knee, not his hip, which is pretty useful advice. Since it's an IK rig, I can't really control the knee, but I'll do my best. Also, he felt like I should have him go back to a resting position more after he does the flip, since it cuts off pretty quickly, a sentiment I agree with.

I think a little more fiddling with the front-flip part will make this one work really well. I think it's my best work.

I also showed him my animation with a double-bounce walk. This one isn't as good, but I did get some good feedback.

He essentially said that the fall at the end would register better with an object to show what he slips on. I could also exaggerate the final step a bit more. I think he's right and that it'll add a good amount of conviction to the movement. Alec also said that the double bounce should stop when the character stops moving. I wasn't sure what to do with the character in that moment, so I had that bounce continue. With that feedback, I know it's an awkward movement, so I'll cut it out.

That's all I really have to say at the moment, so next week I will do the other two animations. It's a long few weeks ahead of me.
